 President Goals

As an active subscriber to Learning College concepts, Dr. Doyle strives to set goals, make decisions, and implement initiatives all with an eye toward student and staff success. During the NASPA Presidential transition at the NASPA Business Meeting in March 2008, she identified the following priorities for her term as NASPA President:

  1. Strengthen communication between the membership and the NASPA leadership to keep the membership appropriately informed of issues, opportunities, and proceedings;
  2. Further enhance professional development opportunities for the membership at all levels, providing an arena for timely educational discussion, a forum for testing new ideas and concepts, a support base for collegial networking, and a foundation for leadership cultivation;
  3. Develop strategies for addressing the identified critical member services vital for advancing and supporting our work in Student Affairs;
  4. Collaborate with Student Affairs leaders and other higher education stakeholders to promote and strengthen our profession, with an eye toward future needs and challenges;
  5. Reinforce the core values and visions that have allowed NASPA to grow and thrive as a vital, forward-thinking and widely respected organization: student advocacy and learning, diversity, and professional growth.
