Case Study Competition

NASPA invites master’s and doctoral students and new professionals to test their knowledge and skills in the 2012 Case Study Competition.

What is the Case Study Competition? 

The Case Study Competition is an opportunity for graduate students and new professional to showcase their skills and knowledge of the field of Student Affairs. Participants will be placed on a 2 or 3 person team. Each team will analyze, evaluate, and provide solutions to a thought provoking case relevant to the field of Student Affairs to a panel of judges that is representative of student affairs practitioners, faculty, and past Case competition winners.

After teams have presented their cases, judges will select two winning teams (one graduate student and one new professional team). All teams will be able to hear feedback on their presentation during a feedback session with the judges. The Case Study Competition winners will be presented with an award during the NASPA Awards luncheon and will have an opportunity to discuss their case study analysis during a presentation session.

How to Register

Case Study Competition Registration Form. Participants must register in advance, individually or as a team, by completing the Case Study Competition Registration Form.  Please note, participants that register as individuals will be matched with a team for the Case Study Competition.

Registration forms must be received no later than February 27, 2012, 5:00 p.m. EST.  Registration forms submitted after this time will be considered on a space available basis.
