| The presenters will focus on the role of Appreciative Advising in their efforts to retain online students on academic probation. Introduced by Dr. Jennifer Bloom, Appreciative Advising is defined as “the intentional collaborative practice of asking positive, open-ended questions that help students optimize their educational experiences and achieve their dreams, goals, and potentials.” Using Appreciative Advising as a framework the presenters will engage in a discussion regarding the impacts of Appreciative Advising on students’ academic performance. |
