Student veterans are often not understood on campus. This undergirds the need for education of faculty and staff who educate and support them. In this interactive session we will present an innovative program to educate faculty and staff about student veterans’ characteristics and common combat injuries. By learning about how to mitigate student veterans’ challenges, breaking down fear and misinformation, and creating understanding in their campus communities, they can fundamentally change student veterans’ educational experiences.
