Online registration is strongly recommended; however, if you are unable to register online, the following alternatives are available.

NOTE: Please allow approximately 7-10 business days for processing of all paper registration forms (via fax or mail). It may take longer if your registration form arrives on or about the posted deadlines, as these are typically peak instances for registration. Once your registration form is processed, you will receive an automatically generated email confirmation/receipt immediately.

Registration forms should be sent only ONCE. Duplicate copies of registration forms can result in multiple payments to your credit card. A handling fee may be assessed to correct multiple payments as the result of multiple submissions.

If you have registered or will be registering for The Placement Exchange in Seattle, WA, there is a discount to the above full conference registration rates. Discount is not applicable to one-day rates. Appropriate discount is as follows:

Payment Policy

Payment may be made by check, money order, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express). Purchase orders will not be accepted. A service/processing fee of $40 per registration will be assessed for returned checks.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:

If you pay by credit card, be certain that you are using the correct credit card for the registration. We will NOT, under any circumstance, be able to change the credit card used after the initial payment has been processed.

Registration Deadlines

Early-Bird Deadline: January 16, 2009
All registration forms with accompanying payments must be received or postmarked by this date to qualify for this rate. If registering online, payment must be submitted by 11:59 pm EST. This is the last date to submit a written request for a full refund, less the $35 administrative fee.

Regular Registration Deadline: February 17, 2009
All registrations with accompanying payments must be received or postmarked by this date to qualify for this rate. If registering online, payment must be submitted by 11:59 pm EST. This is the last date registration forms can be mailed or faxed. This is also the last date to request a refund equal to 50% of the appropriate registration fees.

All registrations processed after February 17, 2009 will be assssed at the late registration rates.

Eligibility for Rates and Registration Policies

  • All individuals, including program presenters, attending the conference must pay a registration fee.
  • Student rates are for full-time member students only. Those who are employed full-time and are taking courses are not eligible for these rates.
  • In order to qualify for member rates, your individual membership must be current. You must have your own individual ID number. You will not get a member rate by using the Institutions ID number.
  • Payment must accompany the registration form. Postmark date of payment will determine the registration rate if payment is sent after the registration form is submitted.
  • Registrations are not transferable except for like membership types.
  • In order to register for a Pre-Conference Workshop, you must be registered for the conference with one exception. Those who wish to attend only the International Symposium may register for that Pre-Conference Workshop without registering for the conference by paying a slightly higher fee.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

To cancel a registration and request a refund, a written request (e-mail is acceptable) must be sent to office@naspa.org or faxed to (202) 797-1157. Telephone requests will NOT be honored. Refund checks and/or credits are processed weekly. However, as we get closer to the conference, refunds could take up to two to four weeks to be processed.

    • Refund requests received or postmarked by January 16, 2009 will receive a full refund less a $35 administrative fee.
    • Refund requests received or postmarked between January 16 and February 17, 2009 will receive a refund equal to 50 percent of the appropriate registration fees.
    • Refund requests received or postmarked after February 17, 2009 will not be honored.
    • Awards Luncheon and Pre-Conference Workshop fees (except International Symposium Only Registrations) will be refunded in full if written request is received or postmarked by February 17, 2009. After February 17, 2009, no refund will be available.
