Welcome from the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, & Transgender Knowledge Community

Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP)
July 6, 2015

Dear Fellows,

On behalf of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program and the GLBT knowledge Community, congratulations on your admittance to the program and welcome to the field of student affairs!

We wanted to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves and some of the resources the GLBT Knowledge Community has to offer you as future higher education professionals.

For those of you who don't know, a knowledge community provides opportunities for NASPA members to access information and resources on specific subject matters that pertain to the student affairs profession. As the GLBT Knowledge Community, we are open to all LGBTQ and ally-identified people interested in having a queer-centered community within NASPA. You can find more information about it here:

http://www.naspa.org/constituent-groups/kcs/gay-lesbian-bisexual-and-transgender

Cobretti Williams, Patrick Jonathan Hale, and I (Tray Robinson) are your current GLBT Knowledge Community NUFP liaisons and are working to make sure all of your needs are being met! You may have recently been invited to the GLBT NUFP Fellows Facebook group. This group is designed to help us build a community, as well as give resources and answer any questions you may have. If you haven't been invited, here is the link:

Continue to look out for our emails, as we send more information out about the KC, the GLBT NUFPs, and how to get plugged in. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of us. We look forward to interacting with you soon and seeing many of you at the annual conference in Indiana!

Sincerely,

Tray Robinson
