Regional Community College Professional Award
This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated leadership and a commitment to NASPA and/or the profession. Student affairs professionals in all positions are eligible for this award. The individual nominated must meet the following criteria:
- demonstrated active involvement with the profession, NASPA, and Community College research, policies, or practice; at the regional level;
- contributed to creating a campus environment that promotes student learning and personal development;
- outstanding individual contribution in innovative and responsive services and programs that address varied and emerging needs of students; and
- a minimum of five years experience in student affairs
- be a current NASPA member within the region or have retired from the region
The recipient of this award will be submitted as the region's candidate for the National Community College Professional Award.
National Community College Professional Award
This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated leadership and a commitment to NASPA and/or the profession. Student affairs professionals in all position are eligible for this award. The individual nominated must meet the following criteria:
- demonstrated active involvement with the profession, NASPA, and Community College research, policies, or practice; at the national level or at the regional level where the work can easily be applied throughout the country;
- contributed to creating a campus environment that promotes student learning and personal development;
- outstanding individual contribution in innovative and responsive services and programs that address varied and emerging needs of students; and
- a minimum of five years experience in student affairs
- be a past nominee and/or winner of the Community College Professional Award Regional Award or be nominated by a member holding a NASPA national position or a position on a NASPA national committee
