Catalysts for Change

Consider why you chose a career in higher education and in student affairs, in particular. Chances are it was because you know that college encompasses far more than the classroom experience and requires knowledgeable and caring professionals who can:

  • provide services to promote the well being of students;
  • foster the educational, psychological, social, spiritual and physical development of students;
  • advocate for students;
  • encourage a strong sense of community and heightened consciousness;
  • nurture an appreciation for diversity, multiculturalism and inclusiveness;
  • enhance an understanding of the larger global community.

Growing Our Endowment Is Imperative

Bolstering our endowment will enable NASPA to implement strategic initiatives for our profession. A permanent stream of funds allows us to invest in issues and opportunities that will emerge because of the ever-changing higher education landscape. The goal of the Campaign for NASPA is to raise $1 million for the NASPA Foundation directed to the future of the profession. The new funds raised will be added to the foundation's existing $500,000 endowment to fund three areas of emphasis:

  • Developing useful research
  • Enhancing professional development
  • Taking transformative action
