Conference Registration
The APIKC is excited to invite you to the 2012 NASPA APPEX pre-conference. This year’s day-long series of workshops will feature scholars and authors from the upcoming book Voice and Visibility: Research and Perspectives in Identity, Leadership, and Success edited by Amy Agbayani and Doris Ching (NASPA Publications, 2012). Using themes from this book, participants will explore how intersections of identities within the Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) community inform our leadership development and impact perspectives of self and society, strive to better understand personal and professional wellness, address current as well as underrepresented APIDA student issues, and conclude with strategy and planning for what participants will be able to take back to their communities.
APPEX 2012 is intentionally created to provide APIDA student affairs professionals a space for renewal and support through networking, personal reflection, community building and professional development. Join us for a day of critical reflection and capacity building.
APPEX welcomes all graduate students, new professionals, mid-level and senior-level administrators, and faculty as well as individuals with intersecting, multiple, and multiracial/mixed heritage identities related to being Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Desi American.
