Current Openings and Opportunities in the IEKC

IEKC Regional Representatives
The IEKC Regional Representatives are appointed by the Regional Vice President and serve a two-year term.  The Regional Vice President (RVP) nominates all Regional KC Chairs. The IEKC Chair should provide individual recommendations to RVPs in each particular region, along with the Regional Coordinator, to inform these appointments. Final decisions rest with the RVP. The Regional KC Chairs may or may not sit on the RVP Board. This is at the discretion of the RVP.
  • Develop a leadership team that generates and disseminates knowledge to the membership. Promote the IEKC within the region; identify structured ways to promote the sharing, dissemination and creation of knowledge. Utilize existing communication channels (e.g. issue oriented discussions on listservs, blogs, and newsletters)
  • Provide direction to the regional community. Develops goals annually for their region that support the overall goals of IEKC and submits these goals to the National Chair.
  • Works with the National Chair in reaching its annual goals as well. Attends regional conferences and markets the activities of the IEKC especially the International Symposium. Work to increase membership.
  • Encourages submission of program proposals for regional and national conferences from region members.
  • Communicates at least monthly with National Chair regarding activity in his/her region.  
  • Writes and submits an annual report to the Chair regarding progress on goals set for the year and recommendations for the coming year.
  • Attend the NASPA Annual Conference and participate in all conference activities of the IEKC including the International Symposium and planning meetings.
  • Responsible for recruiting individuals within the region that may serve as a possible successor at the completion of their two-year term.
  • Serve on the IEKC Best Practices award selection committee.
