How to use the framework:
The Assessment Education Framework was developed using a number of important resources. The SAAER 2004 membership survey was the foundation for the framework. In addition to the survey results,discussion with the KC Leadership team and a review of ACPA's ASK Standards were used to ensure a complete curriculum was developed.
First, the KC will use the framework to assist in determining what training should be offered at regionaland national conferences as well as on-line. The content descriptions are intended to be general enough toallow for creativity in programming yet offer participants some assurance that certain topics will becovered. Instructors can incorporate more than one course in a session. For example, someone presenting a pre-conference on using quantitative data might incorporate the topics in 310, 311 and 400.
Second, the framework is intended to assist those practitioners who have been charged with assessment tocarefully and intentionally choose training options to support their assessment work as well as track their training over time.
