Welcome to SLCE!
The purpose of the SLCE working group is to organize dialogue and knowledge-sharing among student life professionals who are passionate (or curious) about the practice of service learning and civic engagement, how they relate to our educational mission and professional goals, and why they might be among the most impactful strategies for student development and institutional transformation.
2011-2012 Goals:
- Organize a national SLCE Leadership Committee
- Host a roundtable at NASPA
- Hold business meeting at NASPA
- Gather and process feedback from members about SLCE objectives and mission
- Set an agenda for 2012-2013
- Host a webinar or discussion group featuring a national expert on service learning and civic engagement
