You can sign up for membership with NASPA in several ways. Individual membership can be completed online, via fax, or sent by mail.

To create a new membership, renew an existing membership, or reinstate a previous membership, by fax or mail, please print the individual membership application or NASPA Undergraduate Student Member Sponsor Form.

To join as an institutional member you must download the Institutional Membership Application Form and submit via fax or mail. For institutional dues rates, see the institutional dues matrix.

Current NASPA members can renew their membership online by logging in to the Members-only section of the website using the login box in the top right-hand corner of the page.

If you are a past NASPA member and your membership has lapsed, please download the 2008-2009 Individual Membership Application and fax completed form (with payment information) to Membership Services at 202-797-1157 or send completed application (with check made payable to NASPA) to Drawer No. 0023 Washington, DC 20073-0023.

NASPA is an extensive network of more than 11,000 student affairs professionals, including over 3,000 senior decision makers at the director level and above. NASPA represents a full array of two- and four-year institutions in the U.S. and abroad and offers over 40 high quality professional development and training programs on critical issues facing higher education today.

NASPA provides its members with many ways to enhance their professional skills. Our Regions and Knowledge Communities provide wonderful opportunities for involvement. NASPA offers professional development programs such as the Annual Conference, as well as regional conferences, biennial Alice Manicur Women's Symposium, International Assessment and Retention Conference, James E. Scott National Academy for Leadership and Executive Effectiveness, student affairs oriented publications, workshops, and much, much more. I encourage you to take full advantage of these opportunities for growth.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Professional Affiliate members are student affairs administrators, faculty members, or staff members at member institutions.

Associate Affiliate members are student affairs administrators at a nonmember college or university campus, or staff persons of educationally related groups, or administrators of student affairs or those engaged in professional work related to student affairs who are employed in postsecondary institutions not eligible for membership.

Faculty Affiliate members are full-time teaching faculty at a nonmember institution.

Graduate Student Affiliate members are graduate students who are studying student affairs and are not full-time employees of any institution.

Undergraduate Student Affiliate members are undergraduate students who are considering a career in student affairs. Undergraduate Student members must be sponsored by a professional staff member who is a member of NASPA.

Emeritus Affiliate members are former voting delegates, professional affiliates, or associate affiliates who are officially designated as retired by their institutions and who are no longer employed full-time in higher education.

Non-profit subscribing members are educational associations, governmental agencies, and other nonprofit groups supportive of NASPA's goals other than colleges and universities.

For-profit subscribing members are individuals, organizations, manufacturers, or suppliers of goods and services that operate for profit and support the policies, purposes, and activities of NASPA.
