In July 2010 NASPA and ACPA jointly endorsed Professional Competency Areas for Student Affairs Practitioners (PCASAP), which includes a defined and articulated competency area for law, policy and governance (LPG). Moreover, the program will address various "hot topics," in higher education law as a context for developing competencies while ensuring that participants learn core legal concepts that will help them work through recurring issues. The program will provide demanding and intensive instruction and time for informal collaborative learning in a world class resort setting. This program will be a prerequisite for admission into later anticipated intermediate and advanced level certificate programs.
