Joint Task Force on Student Learning

How often have you thought or said that higher education associations ought to work together on our common mission? How often have you said that academic and student affairs should collaborate to increase conditions for student learning?

In response to your call, NASPA is part of a task force with the American Association of Higher Education (AAHE) and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) to address these questions and more.

Representatives from these three higher education associations have come together to do the following:

  • to develop a set of principles that should guide the cooperation of all staff on a campus in promoting student learning
  • to compile examples of collaborative efforts that can serve as models of how to stimulate student attainment, and
  • to propose recommendations for further action that will advance the use of our growing knowledge of learning to strengthen student achievement.
