| Student Affairs professionals have begun to identify personal learning networks (PLNs) to connect and learn in shared communities of practice. This session will discuss how PLNs can facilitate formal, informal learning & take professional development to the next level. This panel will critically examine the value and impact of social capital, review engagement in digital communities & share practical examples of how to leverage the social infrastructure of the web to create and facilitate wider learning opportunities unconstrained by financial obligations, timeframes or geographic locations. |
