Welcome from the Region I VP

Hello Region I NASPA Friends,

Welcome to the Region I website.  Regardless if you are new to NASPA and our region, or if you've been involved and active for a long time, I'm sure this site will provide you with the information you need to advance your professional development and to connect with colleagues from across the region.

The strength of Region I lies within the membership.  There is a sense of community in this region stemming from the networking opportunities and personal connections we are fortunate to foster; our geographic proximity makes connecting easy and generally affordable.

Our Knowledge Communities, State/Province Boards, and Divisions provide educational programming for all professional levels.  With over twenty-four different topic areas for knowledge communities and six division areas, there truly is something for everyone!  Our fall regional conference is always a highlight, providing great educational sessions, knowledgeable speakers, and special entertainment.  In 2010 we will be heading to Manchester, New Hampshire.  Make sure to mark your calendars for November and look for the call for programs this summer.

There are numerous volunteer opportunities which can lead to leadership positions within the region and sometimes the national arena.  Getting involved is easy by contacting me or any member of the Advisory Board.

I am truly honored to serve as the Region I Vice President and to bring your voice to the national Board of Directors.  Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me or any Board member with questions or comments.  We look forward to hearing from you so we can continue to provide professional development and appropriate advocacy for the region.

Sincerely,

Nancy P. Crimmin, Ed.D.
