2010 Region IV-West Conference
Come
join NASPA Region IV-West as we think beyond our borders and look to
new frontiers at the regional conference November 3 - 5, 2010, in
Omaha, Nebraska. Enjoy Midwest hospitality while gaining knowledge and
best practices for our field at the Omaha Regency Marriott Hotel. Now
more than ever, we call upon our student affairs colleagues to come
together in Omaha for challenging discussions, informative programming
and the ever-important networking among friends that will ultimately
impact the students we so dearly love.
Named after an American Indian
Tribe, Omaha means "those going against the wind or current." We hope
you will reflect on those words and view this conference as more than
an opportunity - it's also our responsibility as student affairs
practitioners to think globally with our heads and our hearts and lead
with confidence into sometimes unknown territory.
It won't be all work, as we are
planning some great nights for networking and fun with our two nights
of "Club NASPA," as well as the chance to talk with seasoned
professionals over a nice meal at the mentors dinners. Show your
institutional pride during our "school spirit day," when jeans and
khakis with institutional flair are encouraged. Attendees will also
have an opportunity to visit Creighton University in downtown Omaha for
an awards recognition and dessert reception in the new Mike and Josie
Harper Center for Student Life and Learning. All conference
participants will also receive a FREE code for StrengthsQuest! Watch the regional website for speaker bios and Omaha videos coming soon.
