International Assessment & Retention Conference — Call For Programs Deadline Feb 10th!

NASPA will present the International Higher Education Assessment & Retention Conference, June 16 - 19, 2006 in Phoenix, Ariz. In an era of declining resources and greater accountability, state and federal legislators, accrediting agencies, trustees, and finance divisions are increasingly scrutinizing higher education. The higher education community, both in the United States and abroad, must create a culture of assessment dedicated to continuously improving student learning. This year's Assessment and Retention Conference has as its theme "Everybody's Job: Assessment, Accountability, and Retention in the Learning College." The Call for Programs is now announced! Please visit the NASPA Web site to submit a program! Time is running short! The deadline to submit a program is February 10th.  More Info

MUFP Summer Internship — Application to Post an Internship Now Available!

Institutions may now post information about their MUFP Summer Internship opportunities online. Last year, approximately 50 institutions provided eight-week, paid internships for Fellows, allowing Fellows to learn about student affairs at an institution other than their own and contribute to the work of that institution. Applications to host a MUFP Summer Intern are available from now until Feb. 10, 2006. Applications to post an internship must be completed and submitted electronically through the NASPA Web site. For more information about the summer internship program, please e-mail mufp@naspa.org

Veterans Survey

"Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude." — President Harry S Truman

Higher education today is well aware that gratitude alone is insufficient. The National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, in collaboration with the American Council on Education, seeks your assistance in identifying campus activities designed to assist veterans as they transition from warriors to students. Your response will be valuable in better shaping higher education policy for the men and women in our armed services. Click here to participate.
