The March 2006 issue of the Forum, NASPA's online newsletter, is now available. This month's Forum contains the announcement of the 2006 NASPA National and Regional Election Results, the first column from incoming NASPA President Barb Jones, and a sneak-peak at new books from NASPA's publications department. Click here to view the Forum 2006 Conference — Public Policy Briefing The SSAO Public Policy Breakfast Briefing will take place on Monday, March 13, 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. in Marriott Ballroom Salon 1 at the Marriott Wardman Park. Susan Beaudoin, who recently joined the Department of Education as second-in-command in the Office of Postsecondary Education, will be addressing the Commission on the Future of Higher Education's work and the FY07 Budget (which calls for the elimination of the Gear Up, Upward Bound, and Talent Search programs), as well as student aid updates and Higher Education Act reauthorization updates. If you haven't seen Upeers, here is a quick description: UPeers is a new online tool (kind of like Facebook or MySpace) that allows you to connect and network with other NASPA members. Once you have established a profile on UPeers, you can find other colleagues who share similar interests, engage in conversations on key student affairs issues, and develop a professional profile of yourself, including your interests and accomplishments. NASPA UPeers is easy to use and is included as a member benefit. To create a profile click here. UPeers is powered by GoalQuest. MUFP 2006 Summer Leadership Institute — Applications Now Online!
