Scott Academy's 25th Stevens Institute – Now Accepting Applications Senior Student Affairs Officers are invited to NASPA's premier professional development institute. Join a select group of experienced colleagues for an unparalleled personal and professional boost in an inspiring retreat setting. The Stevens Institute, named in honor of Richard F. Stevens, is a biennial leadership retreat designed for experienced SSAOs. The institute provides a small collegial environment in which participants can explore and reflect upon current and future challenges facing the field of student affairs and individuals in senior leadership positions. The institute is structured to provide an adequate degree of focus while allowing for the personal interests of participants to be addressed. Participants leave this experience rejuvenated and inspired to approach their professional practice from new and different perspectives. The Steven's Institute is sponsored by the James E. NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program – Deadline to Apply: April 20, 2007 The NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP), designed to increase the number of persons of ethnic-minority, persons with disabilities, and/or persons who identify as LGBT in student affairs and higher education, is now accepting applications. NUFP is a semi-structured mentoring program for undergraduate students wishing to explore and better understand the field of student affairs and/or higher education. Students and mentors apply as a pair, and if selected are provided the foundation to establish a semi-structured mentoring relationship at their institution. Students, once selected, are known as fellows and are also given the opportunity to attend the national conference, participate in a paid internship, and participate in the Summer Leadership Institute. Do you know a talented and ambitious college student woman? If so, NASPA encourages you to sponsor her to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL). NCCWSL is an annual two-and-a-half-day conference providing college women the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills through meeting women of distinction; learning from keynote speakers; participating in workshops; volunteering their time in the community; and networking with other student leaders, as well as college faculty members and administrators. International Assessment & Retention Conference – Register Today The International Assessment & Retention Conference will take place June 7–10, 2007 at the Renaissance St. Louis Grand & Suites Hotel in St. Louis, Mo. Managing Off-Campus Behavior – Save the Date NASPA is partnering with Stetson University College of Law on this one-day workshop that will address questions of whether student affairs and university administrators can and should regulate students' off-campus behavior, and if so, to what extent and how. A strong emphasis will be given to legal and policy considerations. The workshop will take place Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the University of South Carolina. Save the Date!
