Pre-conference Registration Now Open for International Assessment & Retention Conference 2006

Registration, both online and paper, is now available for the International Assessment & Retention Conference 2006. Pre-conference workshops are listed and you can register today! NASPA and Maricopa Community Colleges are pleased to present this professional development opportunity to NASPA members again this year. Our third annual conference, this event will not only bring together student affairs administrators, but also academic affairs, faculty, and institutional researchers to discuss assessment of student learning and the retention of college students. IARC will be held June 16–19, 2006 in Phoenix, Ariz. at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa.  More Info / Register

E-Learning: Blueprint for Leadership Development Programs

The NASPA Student Affairs E-Learning Series continues with its spring course: "The Blueprint: A Comprehensive Guide for Building a Student Leadership Program," April 10–April 28, 2006. Do you need to start a leadership development program? Are you searching for ways to improve the program you have? Join Ainsley Carry in discussing the fundamentals of building a leadership development program on your campus. The course is $125 for members, $50 for student members, and $150 for non-members. Get Involved: Join a NASPA Knowledge Community

NASPA's Knowledge Communities (KCs) provide wonderful opportunities to interact with other NASPA members who share similar interests. Discussion boards, listservs, and professional development opportunities are just a few ways in which you can connect with members both in your region and around the country. To indicate the KC in which you are interested, visit the member's-only Web site and click on "Update Membership Profile" underneath the Membership heading. Please visit the NASPA Web site for a list of NASPA's Knowledge Communities.

NUFP Applications Now Available

Applications for the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) are now available. NUFP builds on the success of the Minority Undergraduate Fellows Program (MUFP) and is open to students of ethnic minorities, students with disabilities, and students who identify as LGBT. NUFP's mission is to encourage these students to enter student affairs graduate preparation programs and, eventually, the student affairs profession. If you attended the 2006 Annual National Conference, March 11–15 in Washington, D.C., and lost/misplaced any items, please contact the NASPA national office at 202-265-7500 ext. 0 or e-mail us at office@naspa.org. We have several items that were turned in to us for safe keeping.
