NUFP Applications Now Online

Applications for the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) are now available. NUFP builds on the success of the Minority Undergraduate Fellows Program (MUFP) and is open to students of ethnic minorities, students with disabilities, and students who identify as LGBT. NUFP's mission is to encourage these students to enter student affairs graduate preparation programs and, eventually, the student affairs profession. Applications are due by June 10. Scott Academy New SSAO Institute – Registration Now Open!

The New SSAO Institute is a professional development opportunity for newly-appointed senior student affairs officers (SSAOs) to receive training and development critical to their new role. Participants will discuss a variety of topics that they may face while transitioning to their new position, and gain skills and tools with which to address these issues. The institute also provides valuable opportunities for networking with colleagues. The institute will be held in Washington, D.C., October 8–10. Leadership Educators Institute – Call for Programs

NASPA, ACPA, and the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs (NCLP) are proud to announce the 2006 Leadership Educators Institute! The institute will be held December 7–9, 2006 at Arizona State University, located in Tempe, Ariz. The Institute Planning Committee seeks concurrent session proposals that are highly interactive and content-driven that will provide participants with information focused on the following leadership education topic areas: 1. Leadership Development Theory; 2. Credit and Non-Credit Leadership Courses; 3. Assessment of Leadership Programs; and 4. Cohort Leadership Programs. NASPA Annual Awards

Each year, NASPA honors prominent higher education and student affairs leaders for their contributions to the profession. The Selections and Awards Committee recommends award nominees to the NASPA Board of Directors for their approval. Upon approval, the awards are presented at NASPA's Annual Awards Luncheon, which takes place during the NASPA National Conference. It's never too early to think about nominating your colleague or mentor for a NASPA Award! The deadline for Annual NASPA Awards nominations is November 1, 2006. More Info

NINLHE Institute

Do you work with Native American students and desire to learn more about how to better support their unique educational needs, values, culture, and dreams? The National Institute for Native Leadership in Higher Education (NINLHE) has extended the deadline for its Annual Institute to NASPA members. The institute offers the perfect training opportunity for anyone who works with Native American students in higher education and wants to learn about the tools and best practices demonstrated to increase Native American student success. The institute also provides an excellent opportunity to network with experienced professionals in Native American higher education student services.
