ACPA/NASPA 2007 Joint Meeting Call for Programs is Live!

Our Power and Responsibility to Shape Education provides the thematic focal point for the 2007 ACPA/NASPA Joint Meeting March 31–April 4, 2007 in Orlando, Fla. The 2007 Joint Meeting represents an extraordinary opportunity to join together as a profession to examine current issues and harness our collective power and responsibility to shape education today and in the future. The Joint Meeting Program Committee invites you to help shape a rich and stimulating meeting agenda by submitting a proposal for a general interest session, pre-meeting workshop, sponsored program or roundtable. NUFP Applications – Due This Week!

Applications for the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) are due THIS SATURDAY June 10. NUFP builds on the success of the Minority Undergraduate Fellows Program (MUFP) and is open to students of ethnic minorities, students with disabilities, and students who identify as LGBT. NUFP's mission is to encourage these students to enter student affairs graduate preparation programs and, eventually, the student affairs profession. LEI Call for Programs Deadline Extended!

ACPA, NASPA and NCLP announce that the Leadership Educators Institute Call for Programs has been extended! The new deadline for LEI 2006 is June 16, 2006. The institute will be held December 7–9, 2006 at Arizona State University, in Tempe, Ariz. The Institute Planning Committee seeks concurrent session proposals that are highly interactive and content-driven that provide participants with information focused on the following leadership education topic areas: 1. Leadership Development Theory; 2. Credit and Non-Credit Leadership Courses; 3. Assessment of Leadership Programs; and 4. Cohort Leadership Programs. Scott Academy New SSAO Institute – Registration Now Open!

The New SSAO Institute is a professional development opportunity for newly-appointed senior student affairs officers (SSAOs) to receive training and development critical to their new roles. Participants will discuss a variety of topics that they may face while transitioning to their new positions and gain skills and tools with which to address these issues. The institute also provides valuable opportunities for networking with colleagues. The institute will be held in Washington, D.C., October 8–10. Scott Academy Institute for Aspiring SSAOs – Applications Now Available

The Scott Academy Institute for Aspiring Senior Student Affairs Officers (SSAOs) is an institute for those seeking to move to the SSAO position in the next year or two. Those actively seeking or contemplating seeking a senior student affairs officer (SSAO) position and who are currently assistant/associate vice presidents, deans, or mid-managers at all types of higher education institutions are invited to attend this Academy-sponsored institute. If your current career aspirations drive you to see the SSAO position as your next career step, this institute will provide you with the tools and skills you need to be successful in your search process and to start in your new position. NASAP National Greek Summit on Black-Greek Letter Organizations

The National Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NASAP) is hosting its third National Summit on Black Greek-Letter Organizations from September 26-30, 2007 at the Marriott Charlotte Executive Park in Charlotte, N.C. The conference’s theme, "A Critical Time for Change: Strengthening the Legacy, Part III," will provide opportunities for a serious exploration on the nature of our Greek organizations.
