NetResults Focus on Learning: A Community College Counseling Center Responds

This week's NetResults features the first of two articles sponsored by the Community and Two-Year Colleges Knowledge Community. The Cuyahoga Community College (CCC) counseling center focuses on academic, personal, and career counseling. With its Focus on Learning model (FOL), the center has developed a forward-looking initiative that helps facilitate student learning by identifying six strategic areas that contribute to student success, and developing programs in those areas that facilitate student attainment.  More Info

Manicur Symposium - Application and Nominations Now Available

The 2006 Alice Manicur Symposium for Women Aspiring to be SSAOs will be held January 19 - 22 in Scottsdale, AZ. The Manicur Symposium provides an engaging and supportive environment for women to learn and reflect on their personal and professional aspirations. The Manicur Symposium is offered every two years and is designed for women who are contemplating careers as SSAOs and currently hold mid-level management positions and/or faculty appointments. Stevens Institute - Limited Spaces Available

The Stevens Institute is a biennial leadership institute designed for experienced senior-level student affairs administrators. "Student Affairs Leadership, Accountability, & Progress" is the theme of the 24th Stevens Institute, emphasizing the need for those in positions of leadership to continually reexamine the way we approach our work. Applications will be accepted until June 15 or when the Institute is full, whichever comes first. Early application is encouraged.  More Info

Multicultural Institute - Submit A Program

NASPA and the University of Nevada - Las Vegas are proud to announce the NASPA Student Affairs Multicultural Institute, which will take place from December 8 - 10, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV. The Institute is also cosponsored by the African American, Asian Pacific Islander, GLBT, and Latino/a Knowledge Communities. NASPA is seeking innovative program submissions that address critical issues, expand our knowledge, underscore our commitment to multiculturalism, and inspire us in our campus work. The submission deadline is July 1, 2005.  More Info

2005 Women in Higher Education Achievement Award

The National Panhellenic Conference Foundation is seeking nominations for the 2005 Women in Higher Education Achievement Award. This award recognizes an outstanding woman who promotes high ideals and has achieved significant success in her chosen field as a faculty member, staff member, or administrator on a college campus or through association with a professional education association or government entity which promotes higher education. Recipients will receive a $1,000 honorarium. Nomination packets must be postmarked by July 1, 2005.
