The July issue of the NASPA Forum is now available. This issue contains the Spring 2005 Almanac and information on NASPA's recent exchange to the United Arab Emirates. NASPA Multicultural Institute - Register Today!

NASPA, University of Nevada - Las Vegas, and NCBI are sponsoring the NASPA Student Affairs Multicultural Institute, which will take place December 8 - 10, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Institute is also cosponsored by the African American, Asian Pacific Islander, GLBT, and Latino/a Knowledge Communities. Register today! Visit the NASPA Web site for hotel information. Nominations for Annual NASPA Awards

Each year, NASPA honors prominent higher education and student affairs leaders for their contributions to the profession. The Selections and Awards Committee recommends award nominees to the NASPA Board of Directors for their approval. Upon approval, the awards are presented at NASPA's Annual Awards Luncheon which takes place during the National Conference. It's never too early to think about nominating your colleague or mentor for a NASPA Award! The deadline for Annual NASPA Awards nominations is November 1, 2005.  More Info

Dissertation of the Year Applications

Melvene D. Hardee Dissertation of the Year Award applications are now available. This award is designed to encourage high-quality research relevant to the field of student affairs. Entrants must have completed their dissertation and had their degree conferred between September 1, 2004, and August 31, 2005. For application materials and further information, please contact:

New SSAO Institute

The New SSAO Institute is a professional development opportunity for newly-appointed senior student affairs officers (SSAOs) to receive training and development critical to their new role. Participants will discuss a variety of topics that they may face while transitioning to their new position, and gain skills and tools with which to address these issues. The Institute also provides valuable opportunities for networking with colleagues. The Institute will be held in Washington, DC October 16 - 18, 2005.  More Info / Register

Manicur Symposium - Application and Nominations Available

The 2006 Alice Manicur Symposium for Women Aspiring to be SSAOs will be held January 19 - 22, in Scottsdale, AZ. The Manicur Symposium provides an engaging and supportive environment for women to learn and reflect on their personal and professional aspirations. The Manicur Symposium is offered every two years and is designed for women who are contemplating careers as SSAOs and currently hold mid-level management positions and/or faculty appointments.
