The Call for Programs for the third annual NASPA Mental Health Conference is now live! Collaborations for Improved Mental Health & Wellness on College & University Campuses will take place January 11–13, 2007, in Houston, Texas. The conference planning committee is seeking program proposals to add to the program for January. The deadline for programs is October 20, 2006. The program is co-sponsored by ACCA, AUCCCD, and the Center for College Health & Safety. NASPA Student Affairs Law & Policy Conference – Register Today! A collaborative event among NASPA, Stetson College of Law and the Association of Student Judicial Affairs (ASJA), the NASPA Student Affairs Law & Policy Conference will be held December 3–5, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nev. By bringing together professionals from student affairs and law, this conference will: provide current legal information per case law; recommended practices from higher educational institutions; projected issues on the legal landscape; and the opportunity to discuss, dissect, and apply law and to bridge theory to practice. The Blueprint: A Comprehensive Guide for Building a Student Leadership Program This e-learning course runs October 30–November 1, 2006 and is intended for anyone responsible for providing direction and guidance to a leadership program. Course content is useful for planning a program from scratch or enhancing an existing program. It is a nuts and bolts, step-by-step guide for building a leadership program. This award is given to a tenured faculty member who is teaching full time in a graduate preparation program in student affairs. Nominees must be a personal inspiration to graduate students, have served on doctoral committees, have distinguished records of scholarly achievement, including publication in relevant literature, and made significant contributions to professional associations.
