NASPA, AUCCCD and the Center for College Health & Safety are cosponsoring the second annual Effective Interventions for Student Mental Health On Campus: Collaboration & Community. Join your colleagues in Universal City, CA, January 5 - 7, 2006 to discuss how we can collaborate across the campus to better serve students with mental health needs. We are looking for programs from student affairs administrators and faculty! The Call for Programs Deadline is October 14, 2005. ACHA and ACPA's Commission for Counseling and Psychological Services are cooperating sponsors. Submit a Program / Register 2006 Conference - Pre-Conference Workshops Pre-Conference workshops have been selected and are now available for registration. Most of the workshops are being presented at no additional charge to conference registrants, however, registration is required and space is limited! Pre-conference workshops that provide food and beverage, have minimal fees associated with them to cover costs. More Info / Register National Forum on Leadership Education: A Focus on Authenticity NASPA and LeaderShape are proud to announce the first National Forum on Leadership Education to be held December 4 - 6, 2005 at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. This professional development opportunity is specifically designed for Midlevel and Senior Leadership Educators to participate in active learning and dialogue around the ideas of integrity, values, passion, purpose, and collaboration, among other topics. Space is limited to 100 participants. More Info / Register NASPA Annual Awards: Deadline November 1st Each year, NASPA honors prominent higher education and student affairs leaders for their contributions to the profession. We have created an entirely Online Process for our Awards this year! The Selections and Awards Committee recommends award nominees to the NASPA Board of Directors for their approval. Upon approval, the awards are presented at NASPA's Annual Awards Luncheon, which takes place during the National Conference. The deadline is approaching! Annual NASPA Award Nomination materials need to be uploaded by November 1, 2005. More Info NASPA Excellence Awards Submission Deadline: November 15, 2005 This year, NASPA will recognize the contributions of members who are transforming higher education through outstanding programs, innovative services, and effective administration. All NASPA members are encouraged to enter recently developed and/or longstanding programs and initiatives for consideration for NASPA Excellence Awards. Entries within each category will be reviewed by a cross-section of experienced NASPA members based upon criteria related to program impact and success. Programs selected for national recognition will receive one of three award designations: Gold, Silver, or Bronze. Winners will be recognized during the NASPA National Conference, March 11 - 15, 2006 in Washington, DC. More Info 2006 SLI Host Institution Application Colleges and Universities are invited to apply to host the 2006 MUFP Summer Leadership Institute. The SLI provides approximately 30 Fellows with an intensive leadership development experience, aimed at preparing them for student affairs graduate programs and the profession. The SLI will be held the first week of July 2006. The completed application is due November 1, 2005 to NASPA.
