2006 Conference - Camp NASPA

Back by popular demand is "Camp NASPA." NASPA has once again partnered with ACCENT on Children's Arrangements, Inc. to provide an exciting on-site children's program tailored especially for the children of NASPA. Children ages six months to 12 years are welcome to participate in Camp NASPA. More information and registration details coming soon to the NASPA Web site.

National Forum on Leadership Education: Limited Spaces Left!

NASPA and LeaderShape are proud to announce the first National Forum on Leadership Education to be held Dec. 4 - 6, 2005 at George Mason University, Fairfax, Va. Don’t wait! Spaces are filling up fast. This professional development opportunity is specifically designed for Midlevel and Senior Leadership Educators to participate in active learning and dialogue around the ideas of integrity, values, passion, purpose, and collaboration, among other topics. The role of the SSAO today requires more high-level management skills than ever before. SSAOs are responsible for managing growing divisions; partnering with corporations and businesses; and serving as the front-line in protecting the institution from liability and compliance issues. Leadership of complex organizations requires a sophisticated understanding of campus politics, creating successful partnerships, and creating conditions for organizational success. Mental Health Conference - Register Today!

NASPA, AUCCCD and the Center for College Health & Safety are cosponsoring the second annual Effective Interventions for Student Mental Health On Campus: Collaboration & Community. Dr. Harold Koplewicz, nationally recognized child and adolescent psychologist, Dr. Emil Rodolfa, director of the UC Irvine counseling and psychological services, Dr. Donald Gehring, professor emeritus from Bowling Green State University, and Dr. Melba Vasquez, independent psychologist and division representative for APA are confirmed speakers for this event. Join your colleagues in Universal City, Calif., Jan. 5 - 7, 2006 to discuss how we can collaborate across the campus to better serve students with mental health needs. NASPA Multicultural Institute - Register Today!

NASPA, University of Nevada - Las Vegas, and NCBI are sponsoring the NASPA Student Affairs Multicultural Institute, which will take place Dec. 8 - 10, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Institute is also cosponsored by the African American, Asian Pacific Islander, GLBT, and Latino/a Knowledge Communities. ACHA-NCHA Workshop

The early-bird deadline for the ACHA Professional Development Program, "Using the ACHA-NCHA To Examine the Health Status and Health Needs of Your Students," is Thursday, Nov. 10, in just over one week. The program will be held Dec. 1-2, 2005 in Washington, DC. A variety of topics regarding data collection and the practical uses for data will be addressed. The tentative schedule, list of confirmed speakers, registration fees, and lodging information are posted on the ACHA Web site. Please visit the ACHA Web site by clicking here.
