The Outstanding Parent and Family Relations Institutional Initiative Award
This award recognizes an institution of higher education for achievements in the field of parent and family programs. Awards may be distributed in recognition of an innovative program, improved activities, outstanding assessment, promising practices, and/or enhanced services or communication with parents and families of undergraduate students.
Nominated-programs must demonstrate a significant impact on the parent population and/or promote campus parent engagement. Additional consideration will be given to programs that specifically serve parents and families of current students (i.e. first-generation, non-English speaking, out-of-state, international, sophomore, etc.). Self-nominations are accepted.
Nominators will submit:
- Basic information about the nominee and the nominator;
- A description of the program and its impact; and
- A letter of support for the nominated program.
The award recipient will be recognized at the PFRKC Open Business Meeting held during the annual NASPA Conference. PFRKC strongly encourages nominations for the award from all corners of the NASPA organization both from the U.S. and our international ties.
