Dear NUFP Fellows,
On behalf of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program and NASPA Region I, congratulations on your admittance to the program and welcome to the field of student affairs!
My name is Ferene Paris Meyer and I am excited to have the opportunity to serve as the Region I NUFP Coordinator! I am the Assistant Director for Orientation & New Student Programs at the University of Vermont (UVM). Prior to UVM, I worked in Residence Life & Orientation at College of the Holy Cross for 7 years. My passion for Student Affairs was ignited during my undergraduate experience at Stonehill College where I found my co-curricular experience to be very rewarding. I continued on to earn my Masters of Education in Student Affairs Counseling from Bridgewater State University.
I did not participate in NUFP as a undergrad, but I have been honored to find my way into the NUFP community through my current position and being asked to serve as a mentor to fellows. Many colleagues and friends who have participated in the NUFP, either as a fellow and/or mentor, have expressed to me how much NUFP shaped them, both personally and professionally. My hope is that through taking advantage of these opportunities, you will also find this program beneficial in guiding your professional calling.
As the NUFP Region I Coordinator, I am here to serve as a resource to you and your mentor. I encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities that the program has to offer. I am excited to learn from you and see you shape your own NUFP journey.
Once again, congratulations and welcome to the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program! I look forward to connecting with you soon.
