Welcome Region V NUFP Fellows!
On behalf of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program and Region V, congratulations on your admittance to the program and welcome to a great opportunity to explore the field of student affairs and higher education!
My name is Kim McAloney and I have the pleasure of serving as the Region V NUFP Coordinator! I have been involved in NUFP for a number of years as a NUFP Fellow, coordinator of an on campus NUFP program, as a NUFP liaison for the MultiRacial Knowledge Community, in this role as the Region V NUFP Coordinator, and as a NUFP mentor.
As you can probably guess from my continued involvement in and with the program, NUFP has significantly shaped who I am not only as a professional, but also as an individual. The mentorship, 2010 Summer Leadership Institute, attending regional and national conferences, I was able explore who I was, who I wanted to be, and how to shape the lens through which I would conduct my student affairs work honoring those whose shoulders I am able to stand on and making a way for those who will follow.
Because of my experience in NUFP, I have colleagues at my institution, around the region, and around the nation that have shaped me into the professional I am today, whom I can call upon to collaborate and use as resources as we work to make the world and higher education more accessible, more welcoming, and an inclusive space.
My role as the Region V Coordinator is to serve as a resource for you and your mentor. Please feel free to connect with me regarding any NUFP questions you may have, if you’d like to talk about any of the opportunities NUFP has to offer, or anything else that may shape your NUFP journey.
Again, congratulations, welcome to the NUFP program and I hope to connect with you soon!
