The vision of the Student Affairs Fundraising and External Relations Knowledge Community is to enable NASPA members to develop fundraising knowledge and skills to enhance programs and services for Student Affairs at their individual institutions


To provide development professionals working in (or connected with) Student Affairs a "home" within NASPA

To provide Senior Student Affairs Officers a place to connect for the latest fundraising strategies and information

To sponsor an annual smaller best practice based conference for professionals to exchange fundraising knowledge

To enhance connections from different regions throughout the United States and abroad, different types of institutions and across a variety of functional areas of Student Affairs (i.e. Housing, Union, etc.)


Continue to recruit membership for leadership team as needed

Organize annual Student Affairs Fundraising conference (held in Summer)

Recruit new members through national and regional conferences and colleagues from our individual and neighboring institutions

Increase more KC program submission for regional and national conferences

Increase technology use through learning from the other Knowledge Communities the best practices for member outreach
