Give to the NASPA Foundation at the WRC!

October 30, 2016 Lincoln Johnson University of Washington

NASPA Region V continues to break records and it’s time to do it again!  During the 2015-16 year, 56 individuals contributed $12,000 to enhance the student affairs profession through scholarships, grants and awards. Not too shabby, y’all.  Many of us will gather in Seattle, WA, for the Western Regional Conference (WRC), so I hope you will take the coming weeks to consider a contribution to the NASPA Foundation for 2016-17.  Our goal will be around $12,500-$13,000, and with your generosity and graciousness, we will get there.

My constant refrain is to think of those who have mentored you along your path and of those students that will serve as the next generation of student development professionals. The opportunity we have in our roles to witness and support the growth and development of students is a sacred trust that we simply cannot overlook or take for granted.  By supporting the NASPA Foundation, you are:

  • Investing in student success
  • Giving back to the profession you love and respect
  • Rewarding young professionals with scholarships
  • Celebrating the work of marvelous colleagues
  • Investing in scholarly and innovative research

While at the WRC, please make a contribution; whether it’s $20 to support graduate students, $25 for NUFP scholarships, or something a bit larger, your gifts make a difference!  Really, there’s no need to wait till the Seattle conference; visit the donor page and make your gift now.  Since the tax year deadline is nearly upon us, now is the perfect time.

I hope you will consider making a gift and enhancing the legacy of our profession.  Cheers.

L. Lincoln Johnson
