I wanted to give you fair warning about my vigilant encouragement.
YeeHaw! The 2017 San Antonio Annual Conference is upon us and I hope to see some of the Region V contingent in the hallways. Don’t be surprised when I come across as a “johnny-one-note” about the NASPA Foundation at our various Region V interactions. Giving is a tremendous way to sustain this amazing profession of ours, honor those who have supported your career path, and celebrate those students and staff who you’ve mentored.
For this year, we are 84% of our goal of 56 donors (woohoo!), yet only 54% of our goal of $12,040. For the past 2 years, we have met our giving goals and I’m certain that we will reach it this year with your help and participation. I will certainly be at various functions to happily accept your $10 and $20 cash or check donation. You may also make a contribution via the NASPA Foundation table (during the conference) or via the Foundation website.
Whether you are passionate about supporting future student development professionals or building our knowledge base through research, your gift, no matter the size, will provide more scholarships and increased funding for research. If you have questions, please let me know. I look forward to seeing you around the conference shaking hands, hugging necks…and thanking you for your gift. Cheers!
