Indigenous Peoples Knowledge Community
February 5, 2019
Each year for the NASPA Annual Conference, the Indigenous Peoples Knowledge Community (IPKC) develops a program guide designed to draw attendees’ attention to programs, events, and other information of particular interest to attendees looking to engage with indigenous peoples content.
The comprehensive guide provided lists the education sessions that are either Indigenous-focused or that contain an Indigenous component. Also listed are IPKC open and closed business meetings, IPKC pre-conference, as well as IPKC sponsored sessions. NASPA 2019 is being convened on the occupied territory of the Tongva, who have stewarded this land for many generations. The IPKC encourages all presenters to offer a land acknowledgement at the beginning of their respective presentation.
