The NASPA IV-W Conference Planning Committee is busy Forward Thinking, Forward Leading and eager to welcome you to Fargo, North Dakota in October!! As the new academic year begins, be sure registering for the regional conference is on your to do list this week!!

Venue
The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn. Room reservations can be made online by clicking here. Room Rates are $99 (single/double), $109 (triple) and $119 (quad) and the cut-off date for the room block is September 25.
Conference Highlights
New Professionals Institute
The NASPA New Professionals Institute (NPI) provides a unique professional development opportunity for individuals with five years or less of full-time professional experience in Student Affairs. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with others while engaging in a curriculum that will expand their knowledge and understanding of diverse topics related to higher education and student affairs. This year’s NPI will take place October 27 – 28, 2019.
The registration deadline for NPI is September 27, 2019. The registration cost is $240 and includes all meals during the Institute. All NPI participants are expected to arrive in Fargo in time to begin NPI at 10:00am on Sunday, October 27, 2019. Additional details regarding NPI are available here.
Pre-conference Sessions
Participants will have the opportunity to attend one of two outstanding pre-conference sessions. Additional information regarding the pre-conference sessions is available here.
Conference Schedule
The conference itself will begin on Monday, October 28 at 1:00pm and will offer over 40 learning sessions on various topics, delivered in different formats from traditional educational blocks to SA Talks and Deep Dives.
Keynote Speakers
This year’s conference will feature keynote comments from:
- Deesha Dyer – Administrative Social Secretary during the Obama Administration
- Tim Bono – Assistant Dean, College of Arts & Sciences – Washington University in St. Louis
- Andrew Forsthoefel – author of Walking to Listen
Additional Highlights
We are pleased to continue to develop our time together with new experiences as well as continue several regional programs that have become traditions including the Case Study Competition, Senior Student Affairs Officer/Associate & Assistant Vice President Institute, Knowledge Community Trivia Night, and the Women’s Words of Wisdom Reception.
