Join us for the next NASPA IV-W Critical Conversation Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 11:00 am (CST) focused on how to combat hate on campus and have a conversation around free speech vs. hate speech.

Panelists to lead our conversation:

  • Rodney Bates: Walker Center Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma
  • Nolan Cabrera: Associate Professor in the Center for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Arizona
  • Brittani Fults: Education and Prevention Coordinator at the University of Missouri in the Office for Civil Rights and Title IX
  • Jeremy Franklin: Research Associate in the Utah Education Policy Center at the University of Utah
  • Peter Lake: Professor of Law, Charles A. Dana chair, and director of the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy at Stetson University College of Law
  • Kathy Sisneros: Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, who oversees the student diversity programs and services at Colorado State University

During this Critical Conversation, the panelists will provide resources and support for participants to navigate how Student Affairs professionals can work effectively with students, outside groups, and campus administrators. We will connect using Zoom.
