The Outstanding Parent and Family Relations Institutional Initiative Award:

This award recognizes an institution of higher education for achievements in the field of parent and family programs. Awards may be distributed in recognition of an innovative program, improved activities, outstanding assessment, promising practices, and/or enhanced services or communication with parents/families of undergraduate students. One award will be given annually.

Programs being nominated should demonstrate a significant impact on a college campus by promoting parent and family engagement on campus. Special consideration will be given to creative programs that specifically reach the parents and family members of current students. Nominations for the award must provide evidence for why the initiative should be considered.

A recipient for this annual award is selected after a national nomination process and is presented at the NASPA National Conference. Self-nominations encouraged. NASPA membership is required for this nominee. A brief description of the initiative and its impact, as well as optional letters of support will be used to nominate worthy initiatives for this award. Self-nominations will be accepted
