Region VI Awards: Nominate a phenomenal colleague!

Each year NASPA recognizes outstanding members by honoring professionals and students through our regional awards. To continue with this tradition, please consider nominating one or more of your Region VI colleagues. Regional awrd winners will be forwarded for consideration at the national awards level, as applicable. 

Each nomination should include a letter of nomination, the requisite number of letters of support, the nominee’s resume and their contact information. Nominations should be submitted online. Recipients will be notified in early fall and the presentation of the awards will take place at the 2019 NASPA Western Regional Conference in Portland, Oregon (November 2-5, 2019). 

The deadline to submit nominations is July 31, 2019. Awards include:

  • Support Staff Award*
  • Community College Professional Award
  • Distinguished Service to the Profession Award
  • Dorothy Keller New Professional Award
  • Fred Turner Award for Outstanding Service to NASPA
  • Graduate Student Rising Star Award
  • Innovative Program Award
  • Knowledge Community Award for Collaboration & Visibility
  • Mid-Level Student Affairs Professional Award
  • NUFP Champion Award
  • President’s Award
  • Sandra Kuchler Excellence in Mentoring Award
  • Scott Goodnight Award for Outstanding Performance as a Dean/Vice President
  • Undergraduate Student Rising Star Award
