Published
April 16, 2018

Join the Socioeconomic and Class Issues in Higher Education Region 4E Knowledge Community with representative David Strauss. One of the most pressing issues impairing our students' success is the overwhelming challenges they face everyday when trying to fulfill there basic living needs.  There have been a proliferation of campus food pantries in recent years to help aid our student's food insecurities. Homeless and precariously housed students are a tragic epidemic as we struggle to provide permanent solutions to our student's housing challenges and other issues, including lack of transportation, lack of access to childcare, and lack of adequate clothing abound.

  • Through monthly conference calls and an on-going web-based discussion, we, as Region IV-East, will help each other help our students be successful.
