Welcome from the Asian Pacific Islander Knowledge Community

July 19, 2016

Dear Fellows,

On behalf of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program and NASPA APIKC, congratulations on your admittance to the program and welcome to the field of student affairs!

In our roles, we serve as the NUFP liaisons to the Asian Pacific Islander Knowledge Community (APIKC). The APIKC serves the Asian Pacific Islander and Desi (APIDA) Community at NASPA and is a place to connect, find mentors, and resources related to the APIDA community. Our roots in NASPA began in becoming involved in NUFP and APIKC. Currently, Purvi is the Assistant Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Washington University in St. Louis and is a NUFP Alum. Tony is the Associate Director of Student Life & Leadership at Cal State Fullerton and connected to the NUFP program through being a mentor.

We have both had extremely positive experience with the NUFP program and are incredibly excited to support you on your own professional journey. As the NUFP APIKC Liaisons we are here to serve as a resource to you and your mentor. We hope that you will be able to take advantage of the many opportunities that both NUFP and your APIKC family will provide to you.

Once again, congratulations and welcome to the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program! We look forward to connecting with you soon!

Sincerely,

Purvi Patel & Tony Pang
