Women in Student Affairs KC Mentoring Opportunities
August 18, 2016
Candid Conversations provides an opportunity for professionals who identify as women to be partnered with more experienced women colleagues to have confidential discussions around issues important to them. Topics may include career advice, work/family dynamics, pursuits of advanced degrees, workplace dynamics, or anything else the participants want to discuss. Mentor/Mentee matches are created based on areas of mutual interest and the information provided by the participants when they complete a Profile Form.
We are seeking new and mid-level professionals who are interested in being mentees, as well as more experienced professionals who are interested in serving as mentors. Those interested in being mentees should complete the Mentee Profile form by October 17. We will do our best to match all participants who submit the profile form by that date. Any forms submitted after October 17 will be accommodated on a space-available basis.
Those interested in being mentors should complete the Mentor Profile form. Depending on interest level, we may pair Mentors with up to two mentees.
Mentors and Mentees participating in the Candid Conversations program are provided with each other's contact information in advance of the conference and are encouraged to connect prior to NASPA WRC to schedule a time to meet in Seattle. We encourage participants to schedule time to connect over coffee, lunch, or during a break from sessions.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Melodye MacAlpine (Region V) or Carolyn Golz (Region VI).
