The NASPA Region I Multi KC Drive-In hopes to cultivate a space for professionals of Color in Higher Education/Student Affairs to gather and continue learning to lead by developing strategies for Student Affairs of Professionals of Color. The event will be structured in a way that allows for small breakout sessions within the represented caucus groups and also large group sessions.

Call for Programs

The NASPA Region I Multi KC Drive-In Conference Committee invites you to join us at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) on Friday, November 2, 2018 to submit a program proposal for this years conference focusing on Learning to Lead: Strategies for Student Affairs Professionals of Color. Due date for proposals would be October 17, 2018 and the point of contact is Shen de Leon [email protected] or Felina Kelly [email protected]

This year’s conference goals, objectives, and learning outcomes are as follows:

Cultivate spaces for professionals of Color in Higher Education/Student Affairs to discuss challenges and opportunities to brainstorm/develop ideas for addressing challenges that we face and create opportunities develop a supportive network in the Northeast internally and with other underrepresented communities

Format: Two 45-minute sessions that total of 90-minutes First session is a small group discussion within a caucus group Second session is a more traditional session focused on strategies on how to overcome challenges specific to the caucus group Possible Caucus Breakout Groups: Caucus groups are subject to change.

Graduate/New Professional Mid-Level/Senior African American Latinx/a/o MultiRacial Asian Pacific Islander Women-Identified Trans & Non-Binary LGBQIA+
