The Utah NASPA conference is a great place for student affairs practitioners to reaffirm their work, identify new programs and resources that can make an impact on their campus, and establish a network of support accross the state. Our cross-institutional committee is hard at work to bring you a line-up of presentations and programming that will enrich participants personally and professionally. We can't wait to connect with you this September!

Host a Meet-Up!

Looking for an opportunity to connect with others who have similar interests or experiences to you? We invite you to host a meet-up and submit an idea for colleagues to meet together after the conference based on certain areas of interest.

Nominate a colleague for a Utah NASPA Award! Categories include:

Outstanding New Professional
  • A Student Affairs Professional with less than five years of full-time Student Affairs experience.
  • A Student Affairs Professional who has provided outstanding service to your campus and higher education.
  • Colleagues know them for their innovative effort to active involvement on campus and with NASPA.
  • Someone that will be a future leader in the profession.
  • Outstanding Mid-Level Professional
    • A Student Affairs Professional with 5-15 years of Student Affairs experience.
    • A Student Affairs Professional with a strong commitment to the profession as well as NASPA.
    • You see their contributions regularly to programs that address the developmental, academic, and life goals of your students.
    • Someone with experience in creating collaborations that promote student success.
Outstanding Senior Professional
  • A Student Affairs Professional with over 15 years of Student Affairs experience.
  • They have a proven record a service to Higher Education, student services, and NASPA.
  • Their active leadership skills are seen throughout their area of expertise as well their work mentoring new professionals.
  • Someone with experience in creating collaborations across academic and non-academic lines.
  • Outstanding Faculty
    • A faculty member who has demonstrated commitment to and who has supported furthering student affairs objectives. 
    • They should have demonstrated commitment to supporting student growth outside of the classroom. 
    • Bonus points for using innovative or creative efforts to work with students and/or having a large impact on students.
Most Impactful Program
  • An individual, department, or institution who has developed and implemented an outstanding program that expands student growth, development, and success. 
  • New ideas, time tested ideas, methods, or programs which result in improved activities, services, and student development.

Call for Programs

Thank you for your interest in presenting for the 2019 Utah NASPA Conference. Our goal is to create an informative and engaging conference for Student Affairs professionals across all levels and divisions.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Presentations that give us key/relevant information we need to do our jobs in Student Affairs in 50 minutes.
  • Presenters who are able to engage the audience.
  • Content that is thought-out, concise, and delivered in the most effective manner

  • A Clear Objective/Takeaway for attendees
  • A clear outline of how you plan to share your information and engage the attendees of your presentation
  • No need to use formal lingo - sell us on why your program should be selected.

Payment Policy:

The registration rate displayed is based on your current membership status. If your membership expires or changes before the event, your registration rate will change, and you will be expected to pay the rate that coincides with your new level of NASPA membership.

Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed by individuals within the same institution/company. Substitutions should have the same member classification so that the payment is an even exchange transfer of payment. Additional charges may apply if the membership status is not the same. Please email your request for the substitute attendee to [email protected].

Registration Cancellation Policy:

The cancellation deadline is September 23, 2019, and you will be assessed a $25 administrative fee. This program may be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, fees will be refunded; however, NASPA will not be responsible for additional costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, and/or travel agencies. NASPA is not responsible for weather or travel related problems and will not reimburse registration fees for these issues. Please click here to submit a refund request. Refunds will not be processed after September 24, 2019 for any reason.
