Mental health is a critical concern impacting college student well-being, learning, and success. Institutions of higher education across the country report increased mental health concerns on campus, as well as an increase in the severity of issues reported. The NASPA Mental Health Conference aims to foster best practices around reducing the stigma of seeking mental health support; continue conversations regarding culturally competent services; and strategies to best meet evolving student needs. The NASPA Strategies Conferences convene efforts regarding collegiate alcohol and drug abuse prevention, mental health, sexual violence prevention and response, and well-being in a comprehensive conference experience.
