Virtual Engagement Events Student Success Supporting the Profession Student Affairs Partnering with Academic Affairs AVP or "Number Two" Senior Level VP for Student Affairs

VPSA & AVP Colleague Conversations convene senior student affairs leaders to discuss, analyze, critique, strategize, and commiserate with peers. These monthly conversations allow for discrete sharing of concerns and ideas among NASPA-member VPs and AVPs that allow them to engage with one another in meaningful ways as they strive to meet current and emerging challenges. These sessions are not recorded so that participants can be free to share information.

Mindful Maneuvers: Navigating the Student Success Paradigm at Your Institution
April 20, 2023 | 4:00PM - 5:00PM ET

While institutions of higher education can sometimes be slow to change, when change happens, it is often found through collective movements and shifts across various institutions. The emergence of student success as a paradigm aimed at supporting students more holistically is a growing campus shift being seen among VPSAs and AVPs in student affairs. With that shift, student affairs must remain agile and explore ways to navigate and maneuver their connections and expertise about how to serve students. This Colleague Conversation will focus on exploring the dynamic that exists between student affairs work and student success. During this session, our discussion will focus on offering collaborative solutions within the shift and mindful maneuvers in validating our student affairs work across the dynamic existing at our institutions.

This VPSA and AVP Colleague Conversation is free of charge and limited to student affairs professionals who are vice presidents and AVPs (or the equivalent) who are current NASPA members.
