Virtual Engagement Events Supporting the Profession AVP or "Number Two" Senior Level VP for Student Affairs

Difficult times call for deep conversation. We invite you to participate in the ongoing series of VPSA- and AVP-exclusive Colleague Conversations, which are designed to provide opportunities for senior student affairs officers to discuss, analyze, critique, and strategize with peers across the profession. Free of charge and exclusively for Vice Presidents and AVPs who are current NASPA members, these conversations will allow for discrete sharing of concerns and ideas that will allow us to meet the difficult moment in which we find ourselves. These sessions are not recorded in order to promote the freest sharing of ideas and challenges by participants.

As we returned to fall semester, our joy of being with students and colleagues was soured by unprecedented challenges in the rise of staff resignations and labor shortages. Referred to as “The Great Resignation,” we are experiencing excessive staff departures compounded with difficulties in filling vacancies. We find ourselves regularly addressing our teams’ morale, while at the same time making sure we have enough employees to provide dining hall meals. What can we do to successfully address this crisis issue in higher education? Join us for the October VPSA and AVP Colleague Conversation: Successful Strategies to Retain and Reward Teams during the "Great Resignation."

This VPSA and AVP Colleague Conversation is limited to student affairs professionals who are Vice Presidents and AVPs (or the equivalent). Free of charge and exclusively for Vice Presidents and AVPs who are current NASPA members.
