Dr. David E. Jonesall, a leading student affairs scholar-practitioner previously recognized by NASPA with the Doris Ching Award for Excellence as a Student Affairs Professional, is the director of the Paul Robeson Cultural Center at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Prior to joining Rutgers, his career includes serving in various student affairs leadership roles in residence life, student conduct, and multicultural affairs at the City University of New York, University of Massachusetts Lowell, New York University, and University of South Florida. David’s work centers on social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an interest on the intersection of identity and leadership in higher education. Dr. Jones holds a doctorate of education in organizational leadership and communication from Northeastern University, a master of education in college student affairs from the University of South Florida, and a bachelor of science in communications from Eastern Connecticut State University. He was previously selected as a speaker for the NASPA SA Speaks Series, faculty for the NUFP Dungy Leadership Institute, faculty intern for the Social Justice Training Institute, and has appeared on the Higher Ed Live Network Student Affairs Live show.
