Jeremiah Shinn serves as the vice president for student affairs at LSU (Louisiana State University and A&M College). He provides support and leadership for 400 full-time staff and 1200 part-time, graduate, and student staff dedicated to the 153 hours students spend outside the classroom each week. Prior to his time at LSU, he served in various capacities at Indiana University, Eastern Michigan University, and most recently as the associate vice president for student affairs at Boise State University. A graduate of Arkansas Tech University, the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University, Jeremiah holds a B.S. in Natural Science, an M.A. in Higher Education, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. He has served in numerous volunteer roles dedicated to improving the college student experience, including service on several higher education-related boards (currently LeaderShape and AFLV), and is an active researcher and frequent graduate-level instructor.
